Holistic Voice Training with Emphasis on Individualized Instruction, Comprehensive Musical Development, Self-Inquiry, and Wellness
As a teacher, I find that each student presents a unique set of skills and needs, and therefore deserves an individualized program of study. My eclectic teaching style addresses musicianship, physical freedom, technical skills, emotional expressiveness, and all the other variables that come into play in singing. My goal, which I pursue quite enthusiastically, is to help students find and develop their own unique voice.
I want my students to receive all the benefits of music study; I encourage them to explore and transcend their limits, experience music and art of many types, work in collaborative relationships, and strive for their personal best. Although I help students appreciate their gifts and guide the development of vocal skills and learning strategies, the final responsibility for realizing their goals, and thus the final achievement, is their own.
I teach lessons in my home studio in Boulder, Colorado. For information on private lessons or vocal technique workshops, please contact me at draina@colorado.edu or 303-442-1432.
